Über diese Publikation

The media landscape feels more uncertain than for some time in the aftermath of the Covid crisis, with the continuing war in Ukraine, and the resulting economic downturn, squeezing household spending. In the face of a mostly depressing news agenda, some audiences are turning away from the news and, in many cases, from the news media themselves. On the business side, publishers are having to deal with rising costs and weaker advertising revenue leading to layoffs – with high-profile international casualties, including Vice News and Buzzfeed News. Expectations that artificial intelligence (AI) will further disrupt business models and further erode trust are leading to anxious debates in board rooms across the world.
